Calling all artists!

We are looking for art to put on display during our annual Families Supporting Adoption Conference this July. We all have been touched by the miracle of adoption and know how bitter and sweet that journey is. This is an opportunity to share a piece of your journey with others. All are invited to share their love for adoption through art, whether by craft, photography, sculpture, poem, or paintings.


Deadline: July 1st

All who want to participate will need to submit a photo of their art through email by the deadline to: cutefamilyof5@gmail.com

Photos need to be added as an attachment and in jpeg format. Please include artist's name, title of the work, medium, date completed, and size of the piece.


Art selected will be on display during the FSA conference at the Davis Conference Center July 30-31st.

All art from children will be displayed on a children's wall.

Welcome San Antonio and Austin FSA Groups

Some of you might have noticed the title change to include San Antonio and Austin. We would like to welcome those chapters to our blog. Be watching for updates and information for those areas as well.

What's new with FSA

We had a great activity last week! Thanks everyone who came! At the beginning of our meeting we discussed some ways that we could improve our FSA group. We talked about the blog, education and play groups.

Blog we would like to start highlighting families and their adoption story. If you would like your family to be spotlighted, please send me a picture and short story about your family.
We would also like to add any adoption websites that you have found, so please add those to your comments as well and we will get them posted.

Education – there is a lot we can be doing in this area. There has been some success with going to schools. We are putting a flyer together with some information on adoption that we can provide to schools in each of our areas. We would like any or all of your input on this. If you have any ideas, please email me or leave a comment here.

Play groups – We are thinking of a couple different groups divided by geographical area. North South East West Houston. If you are interested in heading this up, please let me know.

Announcing Samantha Lamb

Julie and Ryan Lamb had their baby!

She was born on March 13th at 5:40 pm weighing in at 5 lbs 2 oz and measuring 18.5 inches. Even though she was born early (at 36 weeks), she is doing really well.

FSA Activity!

Don't forget to come to our meeting this Saturday March 20th! We will meet at the Hafer building from 10- 11-30 am in the Primary room.

FSA Activity

We are excited to announce our next activity on Saturday, March 20th at the Hafer Building from 10 - 12. We would like to have classes that you are interested in, please leave a comment for us to know what classes you would like. These classes can be about family, parenting, birth parents, infertility, Q&A etc. We hope to see everyone there!
